Randy: I can give a listen to Bill Munroe. As Waylen put it, Nashville may be the capital of country music, but those ole boys down in Texas made their dent in the industry. Who was the guy that teamed up with Bob Wills before the days of Texas Playboys back in the late 30s or 40s. They called themselves the Light Crust Doughboys. This group broke up and the partner went into politics later becomming a Congressman. I'll bet Bob Wills stuck around longer and enjoyed more popularity than the partner from the early days. The name "Light Crust Doughboys" came from the fact they were sponcered by a flour or milling company.
