looks like everyone has a good idea, but i have had the exact same thing, and here is what my prob was. on the bottom and facing toward the front of the tractor there is a plug. (not the bowl drain plug) but facing the front, not down. remove it, and then there is a jet in there, you will need a flat screw driver (make sure it fits good) or you will booger or break the sides, remove it, you will probably find a piece of crud or junk in it. clean it, and replace it. if no crud, then buy a can or 10 of carb cleaner with the straws, and spray right in where the jet was, trying to put presure all the way through to push out any gunk in it. that helped me, i used to have to keep the choke pulled every time i went to mow the grass with my super a and ill i had to do is remove that plug and take tweasers and remove a piece of bug or something like it out of the jet, runs great now. hope this helps
