Welp, then we can't say, either. Nobody knows what a "whirling noise" is, because that's not a word normally used to describe mechanical noises.

If you can't go and listen to it yourself, then either offer the guy $500, or pass on it. A complete M with major engine problems is worth $500, and then you can either restore it or part it out.
