We always hear the Deere powershift was based on the Select-o-speed. This MAY be true, but there is NO comparison. There were a couple of BANDS used in the Ford. The Deere version had only multiple disc wet clutch and brake packs. And the Deere version is TOUGH. It's almost unheard of for a 4020 PS to fail. I know, I have one I try to "kill" everytime I move snow with it!
