Hi Dave, There was a man that had a good idea he posted a while back. He removed the gas line from the carburetor (shut the gas off first). He then placed a clear tubing into the place where the gas line was, a loop at the bottom of the carburetor raising the rest of the tubing above the carburetor and slowly filled it with gas. When the float shuts the gas off that is where the level of the gas is. You have to adjust your float accordingly. I don't know if I have explained this properly, and I haven't tried it myself. There may be someone here that has seen the same procedure, and might be able to shed a little more light on this? I had a post asking about Carter verses Zenith. The folks here said Zenith, so I replaced my Carter with a new Zenith I have had for years and it solved my problem from a badly running tractor to one that runs like new. Hope this helps. Bob
