I was talking to a neighbor the other day, and he was telling me about some troubles with his MTA. He said this fall while picking corn it started acting strangely. You'd be going along and just all the sudden it would start smoking out the crankcase vent something horrible. After about 5 minutes it'd stop and go on just like nothing happens. Runs fine the whole time and doesn't miss, knock, or make any other unusual noises or lose power. His thought was that something was keeping a main or rod bearing from getting oil and it'd get hot because of the lack of lubrication and then it'd start getting oil again and when the oil hit the hot bearing it'd smoke. Anybody have any ideas whats wrong? Time for a total teardown and rebuild? Mike
