Canby, I can top that, I had a 1938 Plymouth with the flathead 6 and it wouldnt start even if the weatherman merely predicted rain. I agree with the other gents, any cap moisture or dirt or oily film or cracks or any faulty plug wires can be at fault. Id thoroughlly clean n dry (use hair dryer) any cap or coil towers and once all is clean n dry inside n out you may try some of that ignition spray sealer on the exterior. Im not familair with IHC mags (if thats what you have) but on the Deere units they have vent holes that can get clogged up but they need to be kept open for proper venting n breathing. If the plug wires are old Id replace them as a matter of good maintenance. Ol John T and all
