Look in the fuel tank with a bright flashlight to see if there is a piece[es] of foreign material in the bottom of the tank which may be intermittently plugging the outlet. The neighbor had a problem similar to yours on his JD 95 combine. Turned out to be a wasp that was getting sucked into the tank outlet at random times. Probably the wasp was in the fuel nozzle & got flushed in with the fuel when filling.
