I bought a Western Safety brand auto-adjusting helmet from Harbor Freight about a year ago - at the recommendation of my friend, who has a welding/racecar/machine shop here. He has been using one for 10 years. Supposedly, it is an $80 helmet, but it was on sale for $39.95. It is great; I have never burned my eyes and never regretted buying it. Let me say this: Both he and I mostly "tig" weld. mike
