I think that you will find that the bushing on the cam are shot and the pump is due for a rebuild and i'll lay a dollar to a donut that when ya check the oil in it ya find fuel in the crankcase of the pump. so it is time to remove the pump and send it into a GOOD diesel shop and have it rebuilt but word to the wise here best make sure that they know that old pump as it has some quarks and it take a good OLD pump man to get them wright.
