Lead Substitute?

Forgive me if this has been rehashed over and over.

I'm wondering what, if any (tetraethyl) lead substitute everyone is using in their gasoline?

It seems to me the era where these tractors were designed was firmly in the time of lead-bearing gasoline.

And so..familiar with exhaust valve-seat recession and other problems after lead is removed, just wondering what's commonly in use? Or has anyone successfully sent their head out for hardened exhaust valve seats to be installed, then forget about it.
