Hey All. I just have been tinkering with the new toy, and am starting to do some of the easy, basic stuff that I know helps out. This includes checking the oil bath, which I pulled down this afternoon and it looked like some really nasty chocolate milk. So, my guess is that I had plenty of oil and plenty of water. Not a good mix. So Im draining the cup now, and Im going to soak it tomorrow in some solvent to clean it up. However, my question is: When I add oil to this thing, does it matter where in the cup it goes? Right now, there is the big cup, but also a small ring inside of it, sort of like a separate cup. I havent checked to see if that would get filled as well if I fill up to the line. Essentially, does the oil go in the inner ring, the outer ring, or both? Is there supposed to be something else in here too? (as in the filter mesh or whatever?) I havent bought the service/tech manuals yet, they are on my list. So I wanted to ask first before I mess it up. Thanks in advance! ~Bug
