I have been thinking about the H noise some more and will add to the previous post that the Pilot bearng in the flywheel is also a high level suspect if the noise goes away with the trans in N and the clutch either in out, but is there with the clutch in with the trans in gear. The pilot bearing only spins when the clutch is is, and the shaft is not turning. JimN

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
