Hi Shane, way back in the 1950s we had a New Idea "bale stacker" I believe it was called. Trailed behind the baler and would hold about 10 bales, then you pulled a trip rope and it would open the back gate and release the bales all in a group. The machine was like a sled and it had rods running on the ground about 6" apart and the bales rode on the rods with enough ground friction to pull them out the back when the back door was tripped. Did not appear to damage the bales. Problem was we had two farms about 1/2 mile apart and had to load it on a wagon to transport it between farms. Only used it a couple years until we got bale chute to put bales onto the wagon.
