I am in the process of getting my dads 47 B running for him for christmas, It was his dads and has been sitting in a shed for 20 years. I thought that the motor was stuck tight cause I could not get it to budge with the crank. Took the head off no rust, dropped the pan no problem, opened the inspection cover and it was packed full with mouse nest. Ended up splitting the tractor to get at the clutch and while it was not as severe as the pictured motor it was rusted to the bell housing. I could not find a single opening anywhere that a rodent could get in. It totally baffles me where they got in, inspection covers were tight. Anyway I appreciate all you guys articles. I am not a tractor mechanic but I am having a lot of fun doing this...........makes me wonder grandpa had a F-12 too and its still sitting there in the weeds wonder how bad that ones stuck?
