Neat picture, but obviously fake. From the earth, the disk of the moon just covers the disk of the sun, which is how we can see the sun's corona during an eclipse. Even being at the pole would only make a very small difference in the relative sizes of the two objects. Also, how would one set the exposure to show details of the cresent moon and the surrounding landscape with the sun shining directly into the camera? Finally, I don't think there's any open water near the poles, regardless of the time of year... Keith
