Back in the 60's in So Dak, my dad traded in his New Idea (more like Bad Idea) mower in on a 100 IH mower with a 9 foot bar. That mower would really cut alfalfa. One day I was mowing and when I was coming home I stopped to show our neighbor our new mower (he was mowing alfafa at the time). He asked if I would make a round with him to see how well the new mower worked. He was mowing with a John Deere pitman mower and I mowed in 4th gear with the Super H which is 6 mph. I lapped him on the second round, plus I was cutting better than his John Deere. The next week he was mowing with a new 100 as our neighbor always had to have the best. My dad tried to get a commission from the IH dealer because he told them about I had really sold the mower. Roger
