THANKS for the suggestions. My filter is in-line on the return line, not too complicated to clean. When I got the tractor three years ago, I changed all the fluids and filters. I have remote hydraulics--not using-- and it does have power steering. The pump only makes this noise like I stated, but I failed to mention that I have the same noise when the tractor is at max turning, left or right, and pressure is exerted on the steering wheel. I have learned to ease off the steering wheel and the noise stops. The pump is stock engine mounted. I will clean the filter again.
