I have a W6 like that and I drilled two 3/8 holes parallel to the axle where the axle and hub meet and put in two 3/8 rods across from each other. Try to drill so that half of the hole is in the axle and the other half in the hub.It is sort of like adding a couple of extra splines.If you want to pull the hub the rods just slide out and nothing is ruined. It has worked well.
