Depending on who rebuilt the carb, they might not even know the settings. Warm the tractor up. Set at wide open throttle, turn the main mixture needle in until it just begins to run unevenly, then out until it runs smooth, plus maybe a 1/2 turn. No need to turn it out until it smokes. You want the mixture lean, or just rich enough so that it performs well under load, no more. Do the same to the idle mixture. Pull the throttle back rapidly, if it does not accelerate smoothly, do the main and idle again. If it still will not accelerate smoothly, your carb was likely not rebuilt properly. This assumes no ignition problem, no intake manifold leaks, etc.
