Scott, to reallyyyyyyyyyy test it you would need a regular capacitor tester that checks for leakage and capacitance etc like an electronics repair shop might use. I use my old reliable Simpson 260 Analog MultiMeter to test for obvious shorts and the kickback test for charging and it will show if a condensor is BAD but not necessarily if its good (or the capacitance value) like a real tester would do. Once the points n condensor are known for sure to be good yet the spark is still weak youre down to potential coil problems or weak impulse springs (starting spark quality) or weak rotor magnets n other stuff.
