McCormick badges

At what time did McCormick Deering become just McCormick? I have a 1948 W-6 with the McCormick-Deering badge on the grill. I have read somewhere that after 1946 or 47 they just used McCormick. The tractor was repainted before I bought it, and the stickers they used just say McCormick. Really curious because right now nothing is matching.
