Farmall 130 update

Well folks, not much activity on YT here this morning, so I went to the shop. Turned out No. 1 plug, brought her to TDC on compression. Removed the distributor cap and bingo, the rotor is pointing about 130 degrees off No.1.

Pulled coil, distributor and drive, sure enough the gears are toast. It was full of white grease, but also had quite a pocket of water in there, thus I had a mass of grease and rust. Just another case of a tractor not working enough. Those gears were new 8 years ago and regularly greased. Condensation.

Soon as business hours come around I'll give CaseIH a call, see if they have it in stock. Probably half decent chance as very likely all C-123 engines take the same drive gears. With any kind of luck, I'll have 130 going by nightfall.

I really didn't want to put the snow blade on 140, save that job for my worn out beater tractor. Bob no deal this time, 130 will be alive and well shortly. I see those damn mice are lugging my seat cushion off to the torgue tube again. Pile of cushion debries direct under clutch adjusting hole in torque tube, where tractor had been sitting for a month. Can't understand those guys, two old coats and some carpets ends in pile at end of shop, not a mouse in that.
