When Charles did this book, he was allowed access to the IH archives (when they were still in downtown Chicago). The policy at the time was that NOTHING left the building as original materials. Wendel built a special fixture to hold a camera and made photos of the photos for the book. THAT is why they are not super sharp. And to quote Paul Harvey, "now you know the rest of the story".....
