Tom, there probably isn't all that much wrong with the belly pump you have. It's been a few years since I had one apart so I don't remember the details but I know they are pretty simple. Seems like there are some shims in there that can be rearranged to compensate for wear? Can't remember for sure. See if you can locate a manual that will walk you through it.
