Clinton, although I'm not a "Pom", well I suppose I am really, but my family has been in Australia for nearly 100 years, the 434 was sold here for a number of years. In fact IH built them here for some time. They replaced the A414 and used the same 154cu.in, glowplug start, Diesel motor as the 414. Standard gears were 4x2 with optional Speed Amplifier, giving 16 speeds. 540 PTO standard with optional 540 & 745 dual speed. Price in 1970 $A2888.00 with HiClear model $A2970.00.Regards,Redfan.

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
