Hi Mike, Mice couldn"t get into the transmission unless a cover is missing or something. However, the clutch is in a dry area (no oil as there is in the transmission) between the engine and transmission, and usually has a hole in the bottom for any errant oil to drip out of, or an inspection cover. There are lots of ways mice could get in there. No effort is made to seal the clutch housing since it is dry anyway. Paul
