The full weights weigh about 145 lbs. The half weights are about 1/2 each. The holes and slots and set up so that you can mount the first weight and secure it using the inner set of holes. Then you can add additional weights using the slots/holes around the outside of the weight. They are set up to use square headed bolts and then they won't turn in the holes.
