I had the same problem with M about 4 years ago. I pulled pan and also side plate into water jacket but was only able to determine that leak was somewhere in lower part of block. Put in 2 bottles of Prestone heavy duty stop leak and after 4 years and 2 or 3 hundred hours of work pulling logs, discing and bushhoging have had no more sign of leak.
