The park brake could be any number of things. The linkage could be binding or out of adjustment, something could be broken or missing in the transmission. My 1086 is hard to get in and out of park, but my 1486, which has had an upgraded shift linkage system put in it will almost fall into park. Did the park brake ever work? If the light on the dash is an arrow pointing down with dots behind it, that is not a coolant level light(1086s don't have a coolant level sensor) it is the air intake light. Change the air filter (DON'T CLEAN IT). Hope this helps
