Gas line valve

I want to put a shut off valve in the gas line on my 300u. No room for more than just a valve. Will a:
"Ball valve construction,
Solid brass body,
Chrome plated brass ball,
Teflon seals"
angle valve stand up to gas?
I will appreciate any experience or knowledge anyone has on this one.
