Rim Clamps

I have a 460 with double bevel rear rims held on by 8 clamps. While getting ready to paint them I noticed they all had the same part number. Parts book says two of them (per wheel) are supposed to be different, I assume they are the ones that fit against the perpendicular bevels and keep the rim from sliding on the wheel? Are these necessary? I have not used the tractor since I bought it, almost immediately disassembled it, so I don't know if rims would move or not. If so I need to replace them.
