My H has a torn up exaust pipe coming out of the manifold. It has to be replaced before I can put a new muffler on it. I saw in a catalog that a pipe was only about $15 to replace. But how hard wiill the old one be to get out? I haven't tried, and they look like they just thread in there, but after an unknown amount of years, do they come out smooth, or do I have a fight ahead of me? What tool(s) will work best? As far as the muffler, they sell steel ones for under $30. Can I get these chromed, or should I find and buy an already chromed one? Does it matter that it isn't an IH muffler, or should I spend the money to get an authentic IH muffler? I'm assuming I can buy an IH stamped one from the dealer, but again the subject of chroming comes up.
