If you are having the TA shift by itself, it may be slipping in direct. The ground speed may be falling back to TA speed when under any load. This is necessary to fix pronto because something is slipping when it is going slower. Your description is interesting, but so unlike normal operation that it might not be as I describe. It is definately improper for it to shift by itself. JimN
