When IH started using the neoprene tip on the needle valve I think they made a big mistake. I never had to shut the fuel off at the tank with the solid needle valve. If a little piece gets closed in the seat with the neoprene tip it seams to scar the tip just enough that will leak thru.Several years ago just before our local IH dealer closed I purchased all the needle seat sets he had, Over the years they all went in my tractors or in customers, no I am using the new style, but tell the customer to shut off the gas every nite

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
