I know how diesel turns. In other post my arguement was does'nt a W9, 600 or 650 gasoline turn pump and distributor the same way as Diesel. RR Mech said he has 40 years experience On IH and it was a Fact they turn different. I have to respect that its hard to argue with that kind of experience. I still have questions though. If you or someone else has Guy Fay book on letter tractors. On page 122 theres a close up picture of a W9 gas with suction hose going in same side as diesel. Some more pictures in book also. If thats the case it looks to me like gas and Diesel would be turning same dirrection. When you say your gas tractors does that include the 9. If you have a 9 gas look at dist. or mag cap the same dirrection as if you were sitting in seat.If # 3 wire is counter clockwise from # 1 plug wire its same as diesel. If other way I apologize for being so hard headed.
