A long-time mechanic and old tractor guy once told me that a good thing to do with a stuck engine, after you've let the cylinders soak awhile, is to remove the starter and then use a long prybar to try to turn the engine in the direction opposite of rotation. This worked on my 650D and I had it unstuck in an afternoon- your results may vary......Also, don't get carried away and break the teeth off the ring gear!
