A 350 starter will not fit on an H. A 350 is a 3 bolt pattern and an H is a 2 bolt pattern. You could put the nose piece of the h on the 350 starter so it will bolt up....but you should know what you are doing before attempting. Not sure why it is chewing up your ring gear or the bendix? Were they both in good shape.
