Ok then, I think I might have it...The new starter is TOO tight in the ring gear. It's either that or the ground ain't no good, or the other cable ain't no good, or the cranking amps in the new 12 volt ain't high enough...cause your pickup truck battery isn't high enough in the CCA department. Does the starter crank wildly when you have it pulled out of the tractor but still hooked up to your wires?? It should have some awesome speed and torque...If not, back to cables and or not high enough Cold Cranking Amps. If it does spin wildly with plenty of torque, then the problem is the starter is too tight in the ring gear. The only way that could happen is the wrong starter. Drew
