Mike, All the hydraulics and plumbing for the hitch are up underneath the seat. Piston, valves, piping, rockshaft and everything. However, the torsion bar is located clear down at the bottom of the housing and it is the "bending" of that torsion bar that needs to control the draft setting of the hydraulics. So, they just run a linkage affair down from the upper mechanics down to that bar to "measure" the bend and how far the bar moves when under heavy load. This movement in turn, via the linkage and valves, tells the piston how much to lift or how much to lower to maintain a constant and steady pull on the hitch. Really kind of a neat setup. Allan
