Oh boy!! I get to use the line I have read on previous posts - Never, every let the smoke out of the wires! Sorry, just couldn"t help myself. Sounds like some electrical flow shorting; check for cracked, frayed wiring. My dad"s "37 unstyled AC WC hadn"t been run for about a year and I quickly found out the solenoid button stuck down and heated up the wires, but, I didn"t let the smoke out. When his WC gets the hint of rain, it doesn"t want to start. Good luck.
