I like how you put "restored". that should be your first clue. I trust old photos a lot more than I do looking at restored tractors.

I recently looked at a "restored" super MCH (cotton harvester) with a super M-CH decal on it.
I was told it was a fake decal.

I think officially your tractor was called a "Super MTA Diesel". I don"t think IH ever called it a Super MDTA. Super MTA was the model name, then the diesel was an option of that model.
