Farmall M front pedestal

I have a farmall 44M and 52SM both have a front pedestal. The SM has the older style (heavier cast iron) the M has the newer style more open. I want to switch the tire, center and rims from the m to the SM withiout removing the pedestal itself. The pedestals appear the same. My question is; Will I run into problems switching these wheels and cast centers and are these parts interchangable?
