Hi Jon, I have forgotten what the original problem was? Was it the loss of pressure to the PTO clutch? The MCV valve should be the same on 454,464,574,674,484,584,684,784,495,595,695. There were two different hydraulic pumps, a 12.5 GPM on 684 and below and 784 and 884 had a 13 GPM pump. The purpose of the MCV is to split the output of the 12 GPM pump and supply about 3 GPM to PTO and power steering and the remaining 9 GPM to the 3pt hitch and remotes. This is accomplished with a valve body with channels in it and valves with some springs and "O" rings and inlet/outlet ports. If you have the mechanical know how a good shop service manual and an air compressor and some very fine emery cloth, for $1500 I would try overhauling the MCV. It is probably nothing more than a piece of dirt or broken "O" ring lodged in one of the ports or valves. My 2 cents JB2
