I thought I remembered dealing with a key when I was putting the wheel back on my H a while back, so I went down to the shed and looked. Everybody's right. The axle has two slots 180* apart. The clamp has a key cast as part of it, the wheel has a slot with a piece of 1/2" keystock. I'm guessing that the $60 thing is the clamp, and would try a salvage yard. Good luck, Wm Wheelside:
