M Clutch Coupling Update

We had success. That tip of taking the pressure off the plate using the threaded bolts seemed to be the key. That seemed to make the shaft a bit shorter, looser and that made the room needed between the trans and clutch shaft for the coupling. Must not have been centered. With the pic that Cowman posted for me figured out how the coupling went together which was a breeze.
Only thing was the tractor supply store where we got the clutch said the fingers were pre adjusted to factory specs. Don't know what specs they use but had to lengthen the fingers out to be close to the throwout bearing for the clutch peddle to do its job when you push it down. Unless I screwed something up in the setup of the pressure plate. Tractor goes into gear nice and easy now, no grinding, tractor moves ok, clutch feels good to the foot for free play. Won't be using the tractor much now, nothing to make the clutch work too hard but will find out how good the clutch is when we take in an antique tractor pull next spring.
