Just heard about an Estate auction this weekend that will have a 986 with front Loader. Have no idea what the condition of the tractor is. What are some things to look for in these tractors and what would be a the price for something like this (I know it will vary with condition of the tractor). I have a 1066 and looking for another tractor to do some baling with and also need a front end loader as do not have one on 1066. Th TA on my 1066 never had a lever on it since I bought it so never been an issue with TA, how would I check the TA on this tractor, is the TA an issue like they were on the 66 series? I was hoping to get a cab tractor, do not sound like this one has one, have hard/expense is it to put a cab on a 986. Also will I get better fuel economy with this tractor running hay equipment (round hay baler 6X5 bales) Thanks JM

The answer to our needs materialized in the form of a '44 Farmall A, complete with cultivators, discs, single plow, a 5ft.Woods belly mower and one, mounted spare 9.00x24 rear wheel.
