Carb/manifold iceing is just part of life and how a carb works. So no thats not your problem. To find a manifold leak use carb cleaner, WD40 etc and spray it around the intake area, if the engine sounds differant then you have a leak but probably not your problem. Sounds more like you have a carb or fuel problem. Start by takeing the line off the carb and make sure you have a good flow of gas. If you do then pull the carb drain plug and make sure you have a good flow there. If you have a good flow in both places you have clogged jets in the carb if you don't then you have a clogged fuel line/sediment bowl or a clogged float needle or sticking float. By the way what part of Missouri are you in?
