How long can I expect it to take me to overhaul my '39 M, serial number 3177? It has gotten antifreeze in the oil and number 3 cylinder has a non-fouler installed. I helped dad overhaul the '41 model they had on his dad's farm, but that was about 35 years ago. I have overhauled engines with sleeves before, so I'm not learning on this one. How long are the sleeves? I'm the foreman of a machine shop and will fabricate the sleeve puller. Time is not an issue, as long as I get it done before Thanksgiving, when I start feeding hay. It has been a very dependable and easy starting tractor at any temperature for the last five years. Is the ITT manual for this tractor OK, or should I buy the IH one? Thanks for your help and suggestions.
