Phil: Pump settings and governed speed setting were the main difference. 560 was governed at 2000 rpm with 540 pto at 1800. 706 was goverend around 2400 with 540 pto at 2300. Probably those extra rpm's gave the added hp. There were a couple of changes before the days of 706 and 656, I've forgotten exactly what but think it was in the head.
